THE MACDOUGAL STREET WEST GROUP IS NOW TURNING ITS ATTENTION TO ANOTHER LEGENDARY HUB OF AMERICAN MUSIC: LAUREL CANYON.

Tucked into the hills above Los Angeles, the canyon became a creative refuge where artists such as Linda Ronstadt, The Beach Boys, The Mamas and the Papas, Joni Mitchell, and many others helped define a distinctly California sound. Music floated through open windows, collaborations formed naturally, and the boundaries between neighbors and bandmates often disappeared. Each artist left a lasting mark on the canyon’s legacy, making Laurel Canyon less about any single voice and more about a shared moment of extraordinary creativity.

IN INTERPRETING THESE SONGS, THE MACDOUGALL STREET WEST GROUP TREATS LAUREL CANYON AS A LIVING TRADITION — HONORING THE ORIGINALS WHILE EMBRACING FRESH INTERPLAY AND THE SHARED, COLLABORATIVE SPIRIT THAT DEFINED THE ERA.

Band members include Mary Alberts, Rick Shore, Paul Auer, William Rice and Jen Harvey
